Anyway, there are reports that venom from toads of the Bufo genus is being used as an aphrodisiac — and it just KILLED A MAN in New York! Thus, health officials are now warning New Yorkers to stay away from the illegal aphrodisiac. FYI, the product is sold under names including Piedra, Love Stone, Jamaican Stone, Black Stone and Chinese Rock at sex shops and neighborhood stores. It is banned by the Food and Drug Administration.

The city’s poison control center received a hospital report last Friday that a 35-year-old man who ingested the hard, brown substance died earlier this month. He was admitted to the hospital complaining of chest and abdominal pain, and died two days later. The toad’s venom apparently contains chemicals that can disrupt heart rhythms. The same type of product killed a 40-year-old man in Brooklyn in 2002 and at least four New Yorkers in the early 1990s. A 17-year-old boy also fell seriously ill, but survived following hours of aggressive treatment.

But Dina Lohan insists her intentions are genuine: “I did this to defuse the rumors about my family. The media has just been so horrific to us over the past two years. I just want to get the message across that we are a normal family.”

Britney Spears was caught on video that shows the pop singer running a red light at a Hollywood Hills intersection while driving the children in the back seat. The singer’s driving has been an ongoing problem for her. Britney Spears has so far run over people three times in nearly a month, 1 was a sheriff deputy and 2 were camera people. The LAPD is actually investigating another hit and run involving the deputy.
