The supermodel’s latest tantrum got her banned from traveling with British Airways (BA). If you haven’t heard, Naomi Campbell has assaulted a police officer last week over lost baggage. She was then arrested (April 3) inside Heathrow’s Terminal 5. Her camp has pleaded with the company to retract their ban. Her rep says, “Naomi has been flying with BA for nearly 30 years and has been a good customer. She hopes this can be resolved amicably.”

But British Airways is firm with their decision. A source says, “Banning her will send out a worldwide signal that such behavior is totally unacceptable. The decision was not taken lightly. She is a valued customer. But it is unthinkable for BA to talk about the safety of staff and passengers being our priority, then let her off. Her behavior was absolutely shocking. She abused our staff and police.” Can I say, “Serves her right!” now??

  1. Except BA is notorious for their poor treatment of passengers, from outright racism to arbitrary decision making processes that disenfranchises their passengers. I urge anyone currently giving their business to this airline to reconsider – there are plenty of airlines which, unlike BA, value their customers and give them the respect they are due. As it currently stands this airline seems to view itself as above reproach and continues to operate with an indignant, high-handed attitude.
