Jeff who?? None other than the stage father of the uber-cute American Idol contestant David Archuleta! And if you believe TMZ, he has been officially banned from the reality singing show. “Idol” sources revealed that Jeff has been interfering with the entire production. He has badgered producers, the band, vocal coaches and even other contestants.

The final straw came this week, when Jeff wanted to change the lyrics to David’s first song, “Stand By Me.” The stage father insisted on adding a verse from Sean Kingston’s hit, “Beautiful Girls.” Producers sent him an e-mail telling him the lyrics could not be changed. But he got his way and David Archuleta performed with Kingston’s lyrics during the live show. Changing the lyrics created problems with the song’s publisher and cost American Idol a lot of money.

Jeff was then ordered to sit with the show’s lawyers last Wednesday, who told him he was “banned from being in the rooms where David Archuleta was learning or rehearsing his songs.” It’s American Idol’s position, since David is 17, he does not need a guardian — just a teacher. Jeff will be allowed to sit in the audience during the live show but he’s banned from anything backstage.

No wonder she’s often photographed shopping in Target with her boyfriend, Brian Austin Green. According to reports, Wal-Mart will continue banning Megan Fox from the premises of their Florida store because she shoplifted a makeup there as a teenager. ContactMusic.com reports,

Megan (Fox) was quite a rebel growing up. She thought she could get away with anything, and definitely had sticky fingers. She would pocket things like candy and gum from convenience stores, but Megan’s shoplifting days were quickly put to an end when she got busted for heisting a $7 tube of lipgloss from Wal-Mart. At first, Megan denied it. Even after they told her they caught her on surveillance video, Megan still tried talking her way out of it. But when they threatened to call the police, Megan broke down in tears and confessed.

Osama bin Laden’s son has been banned from entering Britain to live with his new wife because of fears that his presence might cause “public concern”. Omar bin Laden (26 years old) recently sought a British visa so that he could settle down with his 52-year-old wife Jane Felix Browne at her home in Cheshire and work as “peace activists”. But the British Embassy in Cairo has refused to grant him a visa, saying there is evidence that he is still loyal to his father, the man responsible for London bombings of July 7, 2005.

“I note that statements made during recent media interviews indicate evidence of continuing loyalty to your father, and your presence in the United Kingdom could, therefore, cause considerable public concern,” an Embassy official told Omar. But, Omar and his wife have lodged an appeal against the British Embassy’s refusal to grant him a visa to be heard by an immigration judge, claiming that the decision is “unjust and arbitrary”. Omar said,

“There is no evidence that my presence in Britain would be a security risk. It is wrong to ban me from Britain on the basis of parentage and inaccurate media reports about my beliefs.”

TSK! She could have stayed in her family’s line of Hilton hotels! Unfortunately there is no Russian Hilton hotel and thus the starlet stayed in Hyatt Moscow. According to the Sun, Paris Hilton wrote “Paris Moscow 2008? on the suite wallpaper for a photoshoot (see photo above) in the said hotel. She is said to have been fined £4500 for the damage and told never to return to the hotel. A spokesperson is quote as saying:

“Miss Hilton ruined the wallpaper in the luxury suite. In such a case the client automatically goes on the black list.”

Oooh! That’s harsh! The blonde socialite, however, denied the banning. It’s definitely NOT HOT eh Paris?? Anyway, she stayed in the Hyatt presidential suite last week while in the city to present the MTV Russian Movie Awards.

In a major development over the raging debate on the cheerleaders in DLF Indian Premier League (IPL) matches, Navi Mumbai Police chief have refused to ban them. The Police official said that no cheerleader can be arrested. However, he made it clear that the organisers will be booked if the cheerleaders are obscenely dressed. However, the Navi Mumbai police chief also said that the dancers will not be allowed to perform in ‘obscene dress’.

On Thursday, the Maharashtra government had said that it was considering a ban on cheerleaders in the DLF IPL matches in Mumbai. The objection on the cheerleaders was raised in the State Legislative Council by Maharashtra BJP president Nitin Gadkari, who is also a member of the House. Gadkari said it was degrading to women and should be banned.

The Yale University will ban Aliza Shvarts’ controversial senior art project at its scheduled opening Tuesday unless she confesses in writing that the exhibition is a work of fiction. The University also acknowledged that it has disciplined two faculty members for their role in allowing Aliza to proceed with a project that she claimed included nine months of repeated artificial inseminations followed by self-induced miscarriages [abortion]. YIKES! It really sounds icky and very unethical! No wonder Yale is contemplating the banning of her art “_”

Aliza Shvarts told reporters she planned to construct a four-foot-wide cube made from PVC pipe that would hang suspended from the ceiling of the gallery, wrapped in hundreds of feet of plastic sheeting. Between the layers of this sheeting would be thick coatings of Vaseline, which she plans to use as an “extender” for the display of her bodily fluids. Her plans also include the projection of videos of her possible miscarriages onto the plastic sheeting. These videos show Aliza, wearing headphones and in a bathroom tub, removing blood from her body and collecting it in disposable cups.

Gahh!! How could they?? But according to news reports, the banning is official. “The Simpsons” has been banned by Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez because the animated TV show is “unsuitable for children.” The long-running cartoon has been replaced after Chavez deemed it contained “messages that go against the whole education of boys, girls and adolescents.”

Elba Guillen, a spokesperson for Televen TV, the Venezuelan network that airs “The Simpsons” says, “It had to be taken off. The government considers it to be a series that isn’t appropriate for that time because it isn’t appropriate for children.” Oh-kayyy.. But if South Park is airing in Venezuela, I demand re-institution of “The Simpsons”! Hehe!
