Polka dots banned in Sweden!
Yeah, Europe is becoming a bit harsh these days, even the usually laid-back Swedes! But fret not, the polka dots banning is not nationwide — it’s just in a daycare center in Sweden. Had you scared eh?? LOL! According to AFP, a Swedish daycare has banned children and employees from wearing clothing with polka dots and stripes because the patterns give a staff member migraines. Says the head of the daycare, “I feel sorry for the staff member so I adjusted the work environment. The person in question has to be able to work.”
Parents revealed that children who show up wrongly dressed in the morning are provided with extra clothing — in solid colours — to change into. Specialist Carl Dahloef at the Migraine Clinic in Gothenburg said stripes could trigger a migraine for some sufferers. He related, “Some people are very sensitive to visual effects. Some are so sensitive that a migraine can be triggered by striped shirts or cobblestones laid down in a special pattern.” YIKES! Thank God I don’t suffer from migraines! How about you?
